Orders

The sale from Sterling-Lighting.com is FOB which is a shipping term that stands for “free on board” at the point of origin. This means all orders are sold at the seller’s location in Danville, VA. The buyer can elect to have Sterling-Lighting.com forward goods on their behalf to the buyer’s location. Buyer assumes responsibility for goods after it leaves the seller’s warehouse. Seller records the sale as complete at that time. The buyer now owns the products en route to its warehouse and must pay any delivery charges, should goods be damaged in transit it is the buyers responsibility to work with the shipper and their insurance for their damaged goods.

Buyer is responsible for shipping. Sterling Lighting will coordinate with FedEx or other ground delivery option to deliver orders on Seller’s behalf.

Shipping Costs

We offer free Ground Shipping for orders of 5 items or more* in the lower 48 states, some exclusions may apply. 

Expedited shipping is available at an additional cost. Please note that expedited shipping orders must be placed before 12:00 pm ET in order to ship out that same day.

Canadian customers: Please call our office to make shipping arrangements. 

Local Pickup

Orders placed before 3pm EST are available for local pickup at our East Coast Facility at 116 Maplewood St, Danville, VA 24540 until 5pm same day.

Returns and Exchanges

In the event of a mistake on an order that is determined to be the fault of Sterling Lighting (example: incorrect item shipped or incorrect quantity), Sterling Lighting will cover the shipping cost to exchange the item. In the event the buyer makes a mistake on an order, the buyer is responsible for the shipping cost both ways which will be deducted from the refund. We do not refund the original shipping and handling that you paid on the order. A restocking fee of 10% will also be applied on items returned that are in new condition and resellable. All returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) which can be obtained by contacting our office or using our online Sterling Lighting Returns Portal. Items returned without an RMA will be refused.
