Summit attendees were invited to claim a spot on a team for the hands-on design training which took place over two nights. This accelerated Design Challenge culminated in a Reveal Night event on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 9:00 PM EDT, open to the general public.

Averett University staff, students, and greater Danville residents were invited to view a special, one night only lighting display to reenvision the nightscape on Averett University's campus. Guests were able to view the lighting spectacles and hear design teams present the challenges, solutions, and specific Sterling Lighting products used to achieve their final designs. Several media outlets covered the event.

The Danville Summit concluded with an in-depth design session with Janet Lennox Moyer and an inspirational keynote by Dr. Tim Gardner. To date, the Danville Summit is the largest landscape lighting event held in 2022.
